NOTICE OF OPEN POSITIONS 

There are two positions open on the Washington Library Board effective May 1, 2026 through April 30, 2030.

If you are interested in serving, please stop by the Library or City Hall to pick up a letter of interest.  You can also download it below.  Letters of interest will be due back to City Hall or Mayor Garett Edgar by March 27, 2026 at 12 pm.  

Frequently Asked Questions

How long does it take to get a library card?

Our librarian will be able to supply you with a new library card the same day you apply.  Must provide a photo ID and proof of residence.

Are electronic books available?

Yes.  Our library has a partnership with Sunflower eLibrary. Inquire at library for more information.

Does the Library have Story Time?

We do offer "story time" and summer reading programs for younger children.  Check out the library for the next scheduled session.
